Vauxhall Vectra B facelift - Fai Cambelt Kit Failed after 7k - Jack Flash

Cambelt kit from Fai Auto failed after 7K and they said it was due to a short sharp shock???

I was changing from 2nd to 3rd ?????

A new kit was put on plus a recon head 'n' valves and everything else runs fine.

Where do i stand legally as they refuse to reinburse me for the work carried out.

I never had any luck with claims with aftermarket parts of any sorts as they have every excuse under the sun.
I always use genuine parts since about 1996 when I had a massive claim rejected by a well known aftermarket manufactures.
When ever i subjected a claim to a dealer for a failed part , never a problem, partly because for the dealer a warranty claim was still a job.that even applied to pad a disc kits , cam belts, engines and gearboxes etc.
I remember once fitting a genuine mitsibushi gearbox to a Shogun just before the owners went to spain and the gearbox failed in Spain and after a little battle Mitsibishi Europe replaced it all FOC! if it had ben an aftermarket job it would have been dire!
