Vauxhall Astra Estate Dual fuel - Gas leak - Olea100

Vauxhall Astra Estate LS1600i 8V Dual Fuel. Registered 01.10.2003. DG53 OKT. Approx. mileage 80000.Chassis No. WOLOGTF 3532291236. Engine No. Z16SE 02PR8135. Works well on both petrol and gas.

I have a gas leak under the bonnet which I smelt when running the engine to defrost the car recently. I am currently running on petrol when the gas leak stops.

Using soapy water I found the gas leak which is on a device immediately downstream of the vaporiser with a single hose on the inlet and four hoses on the outlet which I shall call the splitter.

On a flat on top of the splitter is what I have called a bush (Approx. 3/4 in, dia., 1/4 in deep with sort of rounded flats on it. This bush has a screw and O ring seal on the top.

The gas leak is between the bush and the splitter body.

Can anybody advise me please:

1.Who did the OEM conversion on behalf of Vauxhall?

2. Can I unscrew this bush without damage and seal the leak? A new splitter costs £195.00 , but cannot be positively identified be the Vauxhall main dealer gas technician. I have to pay up front and cannot be guaranteed my money back if it is the wrong type.

3. Any other suggestions

Thanks Hoping somebody can help. Olea100

Why having to pay £195 up front to the Vauxhall Technician.? It could be a new seal what needs replacing. Is there anybody near you who do gas conversion with a decent reputation. This is what I would do drive down there and let them have a look ,have a word on the phone first.I would't mess about with these systems if you are not hundred percent shore what you are doing.Good luck.
