having problems with radio,within minutes of turn on it behaves as though no ariel is connected but cd is fine.i see there are many for sale on ebay is it a common problem ?
hello many thanks for reply,i had not tried it on am,so i just did.at first it was fine then within 2 minutes the signal weakened and i did a scan on am and no stations found.went back to fm and the local station was there just but no rds
You need to slide the radio and make sure the antenna is connected properly if it is you need to disconnect it ,using a piece of twin core cable connect to the antenna and see if it improves the signal on FM.The chances are the radio is US in which case you can fit a standard radio if you buy the correct radio fascia,after market radios are far better than those fitted as standard most will play mp3 discs some have usb,sd card and bluetooth.
thanks,tomorrow ill slide it out and mock an aeriel with cable,i do know its connected cos i already checked.dont think its the aeriel though because for the first 2 minutes it works fine.then signal just dies.
yes thanks,did check that its v easy to get at just under interior light so removed it all and cleaned up,but no better.its looking as though reciever is duff.
