Being a bit of a noob (read TOTAL noob) I did a bit of reading about changing the fuel filter on my 306 and found countless people recommending changing both the filter and housing because of the temperamental nature of the HDi engine and the risks of contaminants reaching the HP side of the system after a filter change

As it seems a housing costs around 80 quid this seems a bit excessive, so I wondered if anyone knew of an alternative compatible filter and combined disposeable housing for this car rather than the cartridge type its designed to use
