Ford Focus - Nuts for steel wheels - Crod

I have recently purchased steel wheels, with winter tyres on them, to replace the 16 in alloys on my Focus Zetec. Do I need different nuts or can I use the ones provided with my alloys?

Are they knuts or bolts,if there bolts you probably want shorter ones that are the same profile as the new wheels if there knuts these also must follow the profileof the new wheels.

I assume they are nuts, but I won't know until I take them off. Are they definitely different either way?

The profile where the knut or the bolt meets the wheel has to be the same or they will not grip properly.They should have provided new knuts or bolts with the new wheels.

I have arranged to get some tomorrow. I ordered the wheels from Mytyres and they were fitted by their agent who said the existing nuts were ok, but I though I had better check!

On Fords,it is normally possible to use nuts for alloys on steel wheels but not the other way around;bolts are something else.
