focus 1.8 tdci - Focus message saying bonnet open - ianfrench

I have reset my mpg on trip comp in car, and next time i started it it had a message on trip comp display saying bonnet open, when it is definatelty shut didnt open it in between reset and re starting, what can i do to check bonnet properly, and/or remove message - also ,may be a coincidence, heater stopped working at same time. any help appreciated. cheers

I'm sure you probably did check, but are you certain the bonnet is not open slightly on the safety catch. Did you open it completely, then slam it down really hard to make sure?

yes ive checked, the bonnet is definately shut. ive changed the heater fuse aswell. totally baffling me.

Moved to Technical, where you should get some more advice. If the bonnet is truly shut, some sensor seems to be at fault. Give the bonnet a good slam shut and there's always a chance that that might do the trick.
