mercedes e280 aventgarde tiptronic - auto gearbox problem - itzme

shows reverse on dash when in park and wont start unless in neutrel and starts and

shows no gear initial on dash . have to play about with it every time i use it please help .

As an E280 chassis wdb 210 model,this fault is usually a problem with the gear selector module.This is the complete shift lever and the electronics that are housed below it.Not a cheap job I'm afraid.hth
