I will do but I can't think it's anything to do with the car.
My wife anfd I have used this tyre dealer for years and he claims never to have seen anything like it, nor have Blackcircles, who supplied a similar (but unperished) set of rears for me. In 20 odd years of driving I haven't either, and Im inclined to believe them which is why I've posted on the Interweb.
Can't make a warranty claim as tyres only have a 1,000 or so left and MOT due soon so will have to be changed shortly anyway even though I am told (and hope) they are safe, although I shan't be doing any motorway runs for a while.
Thought does occur that if they weren't perished/hardened would they have worn more or less than they have?
That said 20,000 miles for me is good, and in a car that is known to knacker the shoulders of tyres, and they are still very much intact.
