Changing document file suffixes - bintang

I have a great many document files saved in *.rtf. Can anyone tell me the global command needed to convert these to *.doc please? There are too many to convert one-by-one.

I am using Word 97 and Windows 7

I'm no computer expert, but you can search on Google for "batch convert rtf to doc". There are various (free) programs which claim to do what you wish. However, I haven't tried any and cannot therefore recommend any.

Posting your question on a computing forum might be helpful.

I'd strongly reccommend that you make sure that you have a good firewall and antivirus set up before trying the freebies. It's far from unknown for freebies to be bait hiding hooks leading to all sorts of problems

Plenty of hits when googling "rtf to doc". I suggest you ask about a specific one in a computer forum
