Hello

I have recently noticed a problem with the level of noise my car is making

Recently had the exhaust changed (both parts) as I noticed black deposits round the bumper area near the exhaust pipe.

That and I found it was making a god awful noise at anywhere between 25mph and 70mph. A really loud dull buzzing noise which increases in volume as I accelerate. Any ideas?

it is a turbo D ? if so your turbo may well be on its way out. i had a 306 Dturbo and it did the same and that was the turbo GOING... DOES IT KICK OUT A LOT OF BLACK SMOKE ASWELL. and does the smoke have little metal filings in it. ???

You no doubt bought a cheap nasty exhaust..

That is the cause of your problem.. Take it back and complain.

Got the exhaust from Kwik-Fit. It's a TDCI yeah. I have noticed smoke coming out the back but light coloured and only whilst driving

Turns out it was the rear wheel bearings
