c220 diesel 1996 mercedes - non start - mickeybo

got this c220 diesel towed in to-day owner stopped for 10 minutes to do a message

when returning to car it would not start. Immobilizer lights keep flashing green & red

owner does not have a spare key. Is anyone familiar with this immobilizer system

any known issues or key needs re-programmed. any feedback greatly appreciated

Flashing red and green lights is an indication that the batteries in the remote key fob need replacing.Try this first.hth

If you do manage to get it going it would be worth suggesting to the owner to get a spare key.

Many thanks lads for prompt reply to inquiery. The owner already has replaced the 2 off

3v batteries within key to no avail. Looks like a re-programming job at main dealers
