Ford Fiesta - poor idling - franksfiesta

I have a G reg 1989/90 Ford Fiesta 1.3 OHV. Starts ok, runs ok but does not idle and will stall as you come up to a junction and stop. I have stripped the carb, blown out the jets, etc, etc. Re-assembled with gasket sealer between carb and manifold but no better. Any suggestions?

try cleaning the breather pipe that goes from under the airbox , its probably full of mayo

Check there is power to the idle solenoid and that it is working;if it fails,it normally fails closed and blanks off the idle system.
