Mondeo y plate 2.0 petrol ghia X - 2001 mondeo loses power at junction - JAYC182

Car lost all power when i approached rouabout, i was in 2nd gear the clutch was down, the battery light was flashing.

i do not know if this is related but when im driving, sometimes when i put the clutch down to change gear the revs shoot up to 3000 when im not even touching the gas ????

its done 118 k but has 11 stamps on the log book so its been looked after
