hi i am having problems with my car from startup.it takes about 5mins to get to full power

from start up.when you start initialy it feels like the car is draging back limited power once running it is ok .however i can run it for hours switch it off for 2mins and it is the same problem for a few minutes.i have had it serviced all filters changed and oil.i have also had a deisel addidive added but it is still the same any ideas anyone plse

Putting an additive in is not recemmendwed by the manufacturer apart from it being a total waste of money some can damage the injectors and pump.I would think I would start with the coils and then move on to the injectors.

Unless it is running lumpy / misfiring or smoking I would recommend replacing the MAF sensor, this is a relatively cheap option and is well within the scope of a competant diy type.

Dont bother with any cheap pattern parts, an OEM part should be about 100 quid or so, alternatively borrow a known good one.

To test the MAF disconnect if it runs just the same as before its faulty if it runs rougher than before its ok.
