Peugeot 206 - Car does not exist - Half A Smarty

The spec of my 206 never appears on any car insurance websites. Every year I have this problem. Who can I contact to have this information updated.

They are not going to change all the insurance web sites for one car.What is so special or different with your 206, a lot of dealers made up names and stuck bits and pieces on them to make them look special.

Can you work out why it doesn't exist? What exactly is it called? what does it say on the registration document? Is it a strange european variation which "shouldn't" be in the UK?

I was in a similar situation a several years ago. I had a new Focus from a well-known car supermarket. It was a 3 door, 1.6 Zetec, with "L" trim. At that time - 1999 - such a model didn't exist on Ford's british listings. It was an Irish import (Eire).

Some insurance companies wouldn't quote me for it because "we don't have that model on our list sir"; but eventually I found an insurer - I think it was RAC - who said " that model isn't on our list...we"ll have to add it".

And that solved my problem

Peugeot 206 - Car does not exist - Half A Smarty

The car is a 2005 206Hdi SE 90 3door 1997cc. Its not an import, if you look in say Parkers its listed. All the info is on the V5 document. Its like Peugeot havent informed the insurers of its existance. I've had it from new. Used to work at the factory where it was made, before they closed it.

SWMBO had an example of the last series of Mazda 323F (early '90s). Said so on the badges of hers and all the others on the road and in the V5.

To get it insured I'd to just call it a 323.

Peugeot 206 - Car does not exist - turbo11

Insuring my car and house online was almost impossible the first few years that I lived at my previous address as the post code in my area had been changed a couple of years earlier. None of the insurance and other business computer systems recognised my post code and cosequently wouldn't accept my address. Over time it became easier as systems were updated but there was still the odd company that was six or seven years out of date.
