I have a 2005 L200. 12 months ago it suffered catastrophic alternator failure which also made light work in ruining the battery. The RAC were great and they got all the parts and bits and it was fixed with new alternator and battery. Almost exactly 12 months later, and after only 3000 miles, the vehicle has suffered an identical failure. Does anybody know if there have been 'issues' with Mitsubishi alternators? If this is not the case, does anyone have any bright ideas of possible cause, other than pure bad luck?
