Lisening to the radio/CD/MP3 and so in car - julie page

I wonder if I am the only one who like to drive in silence? OK sometimes I will put on the radio, especially when tired. I do not have any CDs in my car.

But it is for me kind of pleasant to drive in silance, the engine singing away.

Picked up my mother in my RX8 - which is a loud car anyway - who immeadiatly switched on the radio then attempted to hold a conversation

Everyone I know does this, but they do this at home too, moment they arrive switch on the tV andd leave the room!

You're not alone, Julie: I find there are times when I like to listen to music, or the news (or indeed the News Quiz), but other times when it's relaxing just to drive in silence.

If I'm driving the Z3, hood down, there's not a lot of point having the radio on - and I don't find I'm missing anything, not least because the sound of a BMW straight-six is special enough.

Come to think of it - why am I sitting here? - SWMBO glued to Wimbledon and a lovely day outside. I was in the Skoda this morning so time for a hood-down spin I think.
