Skoda Octavia Estate - Quiet Tyres - DerekH

My current Dunlop 225/45 tyres on 17 inch wheels cause more road noise than I would prefer. What would be better in this respect consistent with reasonable performance? Are Yokohama db tyres any good?

This thread is very popular I answered also few weeks ago.My conclusion after very noisy tyres and investigation is that :-

Directional tyres with patterns especially 'V' pattern are very noisy.I have now fitted a set of continentals , these have straight tread grooves and symetric...another good quiet tyre and softer ride is goodyear excellence , hope this helps.
