Apparently not.

I don't mind having to log in to reply to posts but it shouldn't be necessary in order to see the "new" flag against posts I haven't read since my last visit.

Well Ditso, you've probably missed the Backroom in it's heyday. This is the first time I've logged in since the 'improvements'. I used to view virtually every day, but there are so few new posts and so few responses that it's OK to miss a few days - there will still only be a handfull of new topics to read.

I've been a visitor here for 10 years and honestly believe the Backroom is struggling to get over a serious illness. It's touch and go as to whether it will make a full recovery.

Okay - now moved. With regards editing - yes, edited posts do show the last person that edited the post as in this one.

One thing I find strange about this forum is you cannot see how many posts a member has made or when they joined. I post on a Jag forum and a non-motoring one and they both show this info. One pet hate is my spellchecker does not work on here!

Strangely, it only seems to work in the Contact Honest John link at the bottom of the page.

Perhaps HJ doesn’t like poor spelling.
