04 2.2 timing chain change interval? - nkosibob
Would like to know at what mileage my timing chain will need changed. The chain tensioner was changed at 35000, i now have 58000 on the clock and it is getting noisey again when cold, and i am thinking maybe i need a new chain ?

It should last longer than that when did you last change the oil and filter for a quality brand?

Noise does happen when cold hydraulic tappets and chain tensioners but the noise should clear there a hydraulic piston and some drain off or become blocked.

The timing chains are not replacement items, but should be checked at 90K. There must be something wrong with yours. Maybe a faulty tensioner/chain?, or the wrong oil as they are fickle on oil.
