why do you want online - they are heavy and full of acid so shipping with cost a lot. Ring around some local factors for best price.

I have had several batteries from 'Tanya' if you type your battery type into Google it will likely come. They are very competitivly priced, delivery cost is reasonable and they are heavy, indicating quality. I have been having possible problems with one after a year, although I'm not sure at this stage that its faulty, I got onto them and they said send it back, if its faulty we will change it. Their price beat all the local factors on an amp hour per pound basis.

How much will it cost to send back though?
We use a local factor who sell Bosch Silver and Yuasa batteries, they give us rock bottom prices and any problems we just drop old one off and pick up a new one.
Are you buying trade or retail?

Living out in the sticks as we do there is no one within about 30 miles that does cheap batteries, so the internet is my best bet. it would cost about £15.00 to return it but it would probably cost me nearly that to find a competitive supplier.

Ask your neargest garage, and if he is too expensive tell him to get a cheaper one.

Mine does that - offers me a choice of prices and he just orders it in. It may cost a little more but he is always reliable and has been in business about 30 years. If I need anything he gets it.

Hawkeye have you got a GSF or Eurocarparts in your area, they'll have a Bosch silver for your car and at competitive prices with a 4 year guarantee.

I bought a Varta battery from this place: www.performancebatteries.co.uk

I found them online, but rang them to check delivery. They stated I would have the battery the next day before mid-day. It arrived next morning! Good price too.

This was last year during the Christmas holiday. I had rang round several motor factors, who all wanted to sell me batteries from manufacturers I'd not heard of. They were not any cheaper than this place and I got a premium battery delivered to my door.

Exide battery with 2-year warranty to be collected from motor factor, £42.

No GSF or Euro nearby.

Thanks all for your replies.
