For a few weeks I have had a small, but high-pitched 'buzz' at revs around 2500.....no other symptoms, no power-loss, etc.
It sounded like a tiny pìece of metal 'resonating' at certain speeds, and I thought it might be a loose exhaust baffle.
Today, after a short journey to the shops, the car would not start...engine turns happily, but will not fire.
Plenty of fuel, oil and water, no nasty noises from the engine as it turns, no odd warning lights.
Glow plugs have been renewed once and I live in a warm climate, so they don't get hard use.
Car has done 88K miles and always been serviced regulalrly with best quality oils, etc.
My only guess is a failed fuel supply...possibly the 'buzz' was from, say a diaphragm in the injector pump....if they have such things????
Thanks.
