My wife has been given a 3 door corsa as a courtesy car and we need to fit a baby seat for our 2 year old so need to know the passenger airbag is disabled (she's too pregnant to be leaning in and out of the back). The guy that dropped it off said the airbag 'is probably disabled' and hasn't left a handbook. There is an airbag switch on the central dash that has an orange light illuminated on both sides. Does this mean both airbags are disabled? If not how can I disable the passenger bag and enable the driver's bag?
Thanks

disgraceful attention to detail
why didnt they send a 5 door
i wouldnt accept this from the company and i wouldnt let my grandchild sit in the front at any price

We tried to argue this out but they only have 3 door corsa's and no other models (this is supposed to be replacing a picasso!) All we can do now is make sure it's as safe as it can be and that the airbag's are indeed off.

i assume this is due to your car being accident involved?
get in touch with your insurer and play merry hell if so
you cant go from a picasso to a 3 door corsa its taking the mick

My dad has recently had a Corsa as a courtesy car for a few days. I had a look round and I believe that if the light by the airbag switch on the dash is on, and also another light in the odometer display, then the passenger air bag is disabled.
For confirmation, and any other controls you're not sure of, you can download a free handbook from Vauxhall's website and browse through.

Generally if the light is on the airbag is disabled. I noticed the X type has a sensor in the passenger seat.
When it's empty or an adult uses the seat the airbag is activated, when my nephew, who is 9, sat in it last week the airbag light stayed on - he was obviosuly too light to activate the airbag.
