Car tax - 5th of 15th of previous month? - movilogo

I have received car tax reminder from DVLA.

It says to use it after 5th of the month when tax expires.

So far, DVLA used to say after 15th of the month.

Did they change the date or its a typo?

I received mine yesterday, but I also read the leflet whch came with it.

At the side of the statement that you can now renew from the 5th of the month your tax expires is a 'NEW' symbol in red, so assume they have got it right.

You also have up to 5 days after the old one expires to drive with the old tax showing - as long as the new tax is paid for before the due date.

The 5th is correct, it changed several months ago.
