Dear all, thank you for taking anytime on this but i need a bit of help as other sources are not proving helpful! This evening i went to change my friends dizzy cap, rotor and leads on my he's h reg 1.6 peugot 205 gti! I asked him to just undo the cap from head but he proceeded to take off the cables off aswell, i could do with a bit of help getting them back on in order, especially and more importantly which one for the coil lead.... on the cap you have 2 points on top, 2 on bottom and one in the middle-a five star shape-i guess and know that it would be quite hard to explain by mail but if anyone can help me along on this drama iam having on a bank holiday too..............................!!!
Thank you forum!!

Coil lead (or king lead to give it it's proper name) will be the one in the middle of the cap.
The rest of the firing order will be 1-3-4-2. If you set piston No.1 (which is next to the cambelt end of the engine) at top dead centre and then look to see where the rotor arm is pointing, this is lead No.1. Establish which way the rotor arm rotates and you should be able to work out where the other 3 leads go.

Thanks for the help here, very useful info...great to know that the main ignition coil/king lead is the centre one...thats one down four to go..... so maybe another question...if the cap(dislerai, brown, with pins) is on the end of the block would the number one be the one closest to widscreen or number one be the one closest to the slam panel?? and the same again on the bottle two??...i presume 1 + 3 is the upper two?? and 4 + 2 is the lower ones?? Thanks dynamic dave and all on here.....what a website!
