New 5 Series BMW £10K Off - Armitage Shanks {p}
I glanced at the pop up (above) re a very well equipped BMW at a very signigant price reduction. The second time I looked at it I saw that the offer related to a car built in 2006. At the most optimistic view this car is 2 years and 3 months old, minumum. Where has it been all this time, will it have a 'new' car warranty, and is it a good buy at that price?

I can't imagine where it's been the last 2 - 3 years, but these orphans do appear periodically. The spec looks good (except for the smokers' package) but it's a 525 rather than a 530 which counts against it. It should be a facelift model so will have the updated interior and various mechanical tweaks but, compared to a 2009 Model Year, it won't have the uprated Navigation System or a few other refinements which, frankly, aren't massively important.

If it's the ones I'm thinking about they came from Malaysia. Can't remember the circumstances, but they've certainly been about.
