Hi, have just tried to change filter on>> Mondeo>> It's the cartridge type in the plastic>> housing. Couldn't remove old filter from its>> location on the bottom of the housing,>> the part that unscrews from the main>> housing. Should it pull off?

06 2000 oil filter - spikeyhead {p}
It needs a good firm pull, mine sometimes needs gripping with pliers in order to extract the paper element.
