My Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi 150 Auto is currently at the main dealers [and has been for a week already] waiting for an EGR valve - a common fault by all accounts.
Anyone know what the lead time on these things is, as Vauxhall have no idea?

24 hours would be acceptable to me, or a reason and a time scale if not !

current lead time for our dealership is 1 week, after 24 hours you should be asking for a hire/courtesy car

When EGR went on my Mondeo they got the part in within 24 hours. A week seems a bit long.

Agree topbloke!
Now where are the people quoting soga?
This IS a case for that. An 07 car should reasonably be expected to be reliable (or quickly repaired). If the suppliers cannot keep it on the road then surely you are deserving of some car/compensation etc.
But the soga only gets mentioned at things when its out of a guarantee period. Not what its meant for at all !
Bring it on :)

the Vectra is a lease car, so the lease company have provided me with a hire car. I'm just surprised that even after a week, Vauxhall still have no idea when they're getting the part. According to the service desk person the part is on back-order.
I've got a 08 Focus 1.6 Style on hire - compared to the mk1 03 plate Focus 2.0 zetec I used to have, it's a dreadful car. And it's made me appreciate just what a good motorway car the vectra is.
