1999 1.8 Query about use of rear heated screen - jp147
Just a quick question about whether having the rear heated screen switched on whilst the engine is off as you can do with this car (for 10-15 minutes) can do any harm to the battery or does it depend on whether the alternator is working as it should ?

My heated rear window only works with the engine running.

Generally agree but with the provision of may instead of will!

Best not to use any high power item unless the engine is running.

IIRC my old '98 Focus switched off the HRW after about ten minutes.
