Vivaro 2003 1.9 - runs only for approx 5 seconds - Greenjungli

I was wondering if anybody can help?

My vivaro will start and after 5ish seconds will shut down itself im not sure what the problem can be its only got 70,000 Miles on the clock and i can not really afford heavy bills. Any ideas?

Could it be immobilised or fuel pump?etc?????

sounds like an immoblizer problem have you tried a different key any lights displayed on the dash that are not usually there !

Sounds like my C220 diesel - it was the fuel pump that time. The next thing that had to go was the C-Class.

I actually face exactly the same problem!

Own car fixing man has got no clue of what it could be!
