02 1.6 recurrent EGR fault on an Auto - nadz61
The below thread details the issue with my car - essentially it is an egr fault.

I have had some good advice re: updating the ECU so that it does not look for the EGR valves (this has been confirmed on a number of other forums too).

My question is - can I do this even though my car is an automatc?

sorry not possible on the auto, manual only, going to have to bite the bullit and bye a new egr valve the good news is that they have modified them in a effort to cure this problem
