03 1.9 TDi ESP light - tush
i have just bought a 53 plate 1.9 tdi yesterday the esp and engine management light came on and the runs as though its only on 2 or 3 cyl shaking its self to bits can anyone help

I have the same problem with my 03 1.9 tdi, it started as an infrequent problem which would clear if the vehicle was restarted. Now it occurs whenever the vehicle is started from cold, once it warms up fully a restart of the engine will normally clear it, it then does not reoccur if the vehicle is not left for more than about an hour.

Get the codes read, preferably with VAG-Com. Prone to injector/wiring faults. Check also brake lights are working. Failed brakelight switch can throw EPC fault light.
