I notice when starting the engine recently that you can hear the starter motro run on a bit after the engine has fired. Is there an easy fix for this?

Remove the starter motor and clean the engage/disengage mechanism. Or fit a new starter motor. Personally I'd start with the cleaning unless removal was a long job.
