My MOT is due 27th June.
Can I get it done tomorow and have the MOT run from the 27th still?
IIRC you are allowed to do so up to one month before *BUT* I'm not sure if month means calender month or 28 days?

It's a calendar month. Make sure you take your old certificate with you
otherwise the certificate issued will be only be valid for 12months from
date of test.

Yeah, I've fallen into that trap before!
It false logic but somehow 13 months of MOT seems better value than 12 - even though you have to go in a month early to get it!
Thanks for the info!

My tip is, don't just take in the old certificate, make sure you hand it to the man who will actually be testing the car and writing out the certificate. Once he has written out one with today's date, he cannot cancel it to do a new one taking into account the old certificate.
If you fail to catch him in time you have to apply to DVLO or somewhere.
