2003 1.4tdci clutch slipping - dean reg
other halfs clutch is slipping badly on her 53 reg Fusion so do i need to replace the slave cyl (if it has one ) and the clutch or is it just the clutch and is it a pig of a job to do,also noticed i have an oil leak from the cyl head-rocker cover area and there is a pool of oil on top of the gear box.could this have leaked into the clutch ?
i dont mind having a go myself as i have had a little bit of experience changing a 106d clutch and 2 escort van gearboxes.
any advise greatfully received.

Quite possibly this could have contaminated the clutch, but generally only if it leaks at the point the gearbox meets the engine.

Renew the cam cover gasket and make sure the cover is not damaged.

I doubt it's any more of a pig than the 106. There's a Haynes available for this car now so I believe.
