Can anyone advise me on adding a shot of Slik 50 to the fuel in my 53 reg diesel van to clean Injectors?

Don't waste your money - unless you've been using unsuitable fuel, then the injectors won't need cleaning.

What is the actual problem?

It will not start when cold - is sluggish at lower revs & just isnt the van it was, we had a gear box fitted in july 7 it appeared just after that although I cant see why that should affect things
It has always had shell grtade fuels never bio or inferior, had it checked on computor & showed airmass prob so fitted new Renault one no difference also showed egr valve but My chap who services hasnt had time for a look yet & I dont know where this bit is on the van, also had new heater plugs but again no difference
Thanks for your reply anyway

Sluggish at low revs could well be a stuck EGR valve. That's not going to cause bad starting though - maybe an injector leak-off test would show something..

Blowed if I can remember - I've only ever seen one 2.5 Trafic.

On the 1.9 it's in the N/S end of the inlet manifold and on a 2.2 it's in the exhaust downpipe. You're looking for a circular drum, about 2" diameter, with a right-angled six-wire plug on it; retained by three 10mm bolts.
