Hi,
i have just bought a 95 (M reg) 1 litre micra that also has the starting problem. Should have guessed something was up, when the guy who sold it to me made a point of starting it in front of me, and saying "look how well it starts from cold". The next day, it took jump leads and about 20 mins of cranking to get it to cough into life. That was after checking for 4 good sparks and drying the plugs. Today was the same saga, but I gave up after 10 mins, and tried bump starting behind a land rover. fired first time in about 10 meters! Having read the various threads on this, should I go for coolant temp sensor first? There is a smell of fuel after cranking for a few minutes, so overfuelling could be the problem? Even tried 'Easy Start' - no joy.
