Strange problem,

Drove the car for about 10 miles or so this morning and heard a noise at idle from the centre rear of the car. No performace issues, just sounded like someone was tapping an empty tin and a small hiss (no, there wasn't a freak in the boot..haha)

Anyway, the sound has now gone (after 50 miles of driving) do you think it was something in the fuel working it's way through. There was a slight whine aswell which makes me think it maybe the fuel pump..Tank 3/4 fuel of V-power from a good garage.

Penny for yer thoughts

Cheers

*bump* - Anyone?
SNIPQUOTE - what is the attraction in pressing the "quote message" button all the damn time, and then ignoring the message that pops up on screen requesting to summarise anything quoted!

Beats me; I've never heard of anything similar that fits the desription.

If it was something in the fuel, then it must have been air. Doubt that you'd hear it inside the car though.
