If I change from 20-inch to 18-inch wheels will this improve ride comfort?

I have recently purchased an Audi A7 on 20-inch wheels. If I replace the wheels for 18-inch wheels would I achieve a greater level of comfort? Would you recommend run flat tires on 18-inch wheels?
