I received an invitation to this event, which is taking place apparently due to excellent August and September new BMW sales that has resulted in a need to clear display space for forthcoming part exchange vehicles.
So excellent have been these sales, in fact, that up to £500 of complimentary fuel will be offered with each used BMW sold during the great event.
Transparent or what? It must be getting very tough.

I have one from our local MB dealer.. and Toyota...
|
We had one from Toyota - "there is a severe shortage of used Aygos and we want yours"!
They then go on to say there are offers on new ones so we could buy one to replace the one they buy off us. How kind of them!!

Last week I received a text from local Toyota dealer that they are selling cars at cost price + £100 only for this weekend :)

I have received a similar invite and justification to a MINI sale weekend.
This is the first one we have had so maybe even MINI are feeling the pinch as well!
Surely popular trade-ins would go across their dealer network and whats left will go to trade/auction?

The MINI bubble has well and truly burst. Nice cars, but impractical, overpriced and simply too common now. The Clubman/Traveller thing is bit of a sales flop, frankly.
|
"Our" SEAT dealer called with an "fantastic" offer on the last of the current Ibizas - unfortunately for the salesman his service department has just ripped me off for £210 of random charges so I wasn't feeling very amenable to buying a new car which has already been supeceded.

They never charged you that for a brake fluid change surely ?!?!

I should think it is when they put the rear door on the wrong side for the UK it really is a suicide door.

That, cleaning the rear brakes and replacing a rubber bush (with a modified version, therefore SEAT should have paid).
They also got the date wrong on the MOT so couldn't link it to the last one, losing a month and breaking the link to the registration date. Absolute muppets.
It's not over yet!

And people have a cheaper alternative - Suzuki Swift
