1996 2.0 Xsi Coolant Tank Keeps Emptyi - walkiden11
My coolant tank keeps emptying. I noticed on Wednesday that it was a little low, by Friday it was completely empty so I filled it up and bled the radiator. Then, after traveling for around 16 miles, it was empty again with the red STOP light coming on and the engine temperature was around 110 Celsius (C). Any ideas what could be causing this as the radiator is completely dry, would this indicate a hose or tank leak???

A simple cooling system pressure test will show if there any leak's.However,be aware it could be the head gasket/block at fault.

Also be aware that if the engine temperature is regularly reaching 110C on an empty cooling system the leak will be the least of your problems! This needs fixing before you drive it much further.
