Can anyone check a gates fuel hose spec please ? - steveo3002
any car..general question


ive been sold some gates fuel hose that the parts shop insists is fine for inj use...although all the inj hose ive seen has the max psi/bar rating on the side

its gates 3225 8mm hose 345-07 n 79426 ive tried to google for the specs but cant find nothing

If the pressure isn't on it; is it even marked "multi-fuel" or "multi-carburante?"

There are many other 8mm hoses in use; coolant for one.

does say multi carburante ...i was thinking it meant carby hose?

anyone able to help?

cant make much sense out of the site

should i be able to see multiple layers of cloth braiding in inj hose...i can only see one layer

That sounds very like ordinary, cheap, fuel hose; injection feed-line hose will always have a pressure spec [10 bar usually] on it.
