My 6 months old Audi A3 1.6 special edition automatic has what I can only describe as a restless ride, which is very tiring.
To date the car has covered less than 2k miles because it is uncomfortable to use.
The car I test drove at a local dealer had a firm but steady ride and, I have owned 3 VW's before this so I am used to a firmer ride quality.
I did wonder if perhaps changing the tyres might make a difference? I don't know what make were on the test drive car but mine is fitted with Continental Sport Contact 2 205/55 R16 91V's.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I don't know what the Special Edition spec is - does it have sports suspension? This affects ride on the A3.
My previous A3 SE had the same wheels, but different tyres (Michelin) and it was fine. My current SE has upgraded 17 inch wheels on 50 profile tyres and this is still a good ride on the OEM Pirellis.
Check tyre pressures and check the suspension packing material has been removed from the springs! Yes it does get left in despite what the PDI says.
