97 2.0 620 sdi fuel problems - wayne662000
hi there

I'm having a few problems with my rover 620 sdi and hoping someone out there can help.

My car cut out on me and has failed to start since.
Ive checked the stop solenoid and wiring for chaffing but that seems all ok.
fuel is getting to the pump ok and pressurising whilst the engine is being turned over but nothing is getting to the injectors or out of the back of the pump if you disconnect the injector pipes.

We've taken the plunger out of the stop solenoid to completely eliminate that but still nothing out to the injector.

We are now stuck and hoping some kind person with a little more knowledge than ourselves can point us in the right direction.

Many thanks in advance for a any help and tips offered.

What fuel has it been running on? Possible that the rotor head has sheared off inside the pump, hence no output. Is the timing belt intact?

hi, the timing belt is intact and everything appears to be ok although there is a clicking noise thats coming from the underside of the pump. The pump has now been changed this morning but its still the same, fuel getting to the pump but not out of it to the injectors
