01 1.9 only revs to 3000 rpm - jonmadrid

I have a 2001 1.9 dci megane diesel it is very underpowered and will only rev to 3000 rpm I have changed the mass air meter new filter, oil etc any help would be appreciated.

Are there any warning lights on - particularly the "Serv" one? When was the fuel filter last changed? Have you had the fault codes read?

new filter fitted 2 days ago, no where here to get codes read the serv light is on

You have fault-codes stored and it's probably in limp mode. You will have to get it read to progress further. Most garages have access to a basic scantool - even over there.
