My daughters just bought a 98 1.9 diesel turbo 306 (3 door model) and having put fresh batteries in the remotes used the deadlock feature last night having serviced it.
The deadlock on the drivers side appears on the face of it this morning to be seized.
There are also peculiarities in the lock unloc/bouncing locks.
Is it a case of strip the doors down or do I just need to re-sync the infra red keys to the car?
Any help advice mucch appreciated.

it's likely it's suffering from the usual broken wires in the door loom. if you pull back the rubber cover going to the wiring block between the door and a pillar you will probably find one or more wires either broken or the insulation damaged and short circuiting. do a forum search has been covered plenty of times.
