03 1.8 petrol hand brake adjustment - eddie lane
i changed the rear brake pads on my sons 03 mondeo 1800cc.before i changed them the hand brake lever came up 4 clicks, after i changed them the hand brake came all the way up and just about locks the back wheels is the any adjustment and why was it working ok untill i put new pads on any help please.

It was set before to the worn pads, if you pump the pedal hard then adjust up the cable taking up the slack you will get the 4 clicks.

Check that it is working by jacking up and try to turn the wheel.
