I need to add transmission fluid into my Laguna RT Automatic 1998, where is the filler cap/dipstick? Many thanks.

There's a possibility that it doesn't have one. Anything in the handbook?
The modern trend is to use a scanner to access the transmission ECU to view the reading from the level sensor.
Dual-height [tubular] drain plugs provide the level-setting facility on many French cars. Is it leaking?

Yes I think it has been leaking as my gears have been slipping all week but tonight they do not engage at all, what is the best solution. I don't have a lot of money to spend at the moment so I could really do with sorting it out myself is poss.

If the clutches have slipped and burned to the stage of losing drive; then the diagnosis charge is going to be the least of your problems.

The handbook says consult a Renault dealer which sounds costly, just to look at the car!

Are there big patches of oil on under the car if not its the common symtoms of a knackered auto box.
