French Signs - Zippy123
I was recently driving in France and entered a tunnel, some matrix signs, lit up with a red circle on a black background with a ₡ symbol. Can any of the knowledgeable folk here tell me what it is (though I suspect it?s an impending fine).

(The signs were just like those ones that tell you that you are going too fast and flash up the speed limit.)

Description of the sign has come out oddly and makes no sense.

French often use flashing signs for emphasis particualry with prohibition. May be tunnel speed/spacing restricrion Other likely restrictions in tunnels include conveyance of flammable or hazardous material. LPG powered vehicles as well in some places (IIRC).

Thanks, just noticed that the symbol does not translate on the web site.

The symbol was a C with two vertical lines going through it a bit like a "cents" sign. It could have been a Euro sign, as they use a very curved E for that.

Bump, if any one knows please?
