Fitting single electrics tow bar - jim234
I have just fitted a tow bar to my Peugeot 306 and now need to fit the electrics.
1) Do I simply drill a hole in the underside of the car and fit a gromet and drag the wire through or is there some other better route/ way / position for this that a pro would use ?
2) Where do I attach the electrics. Looking at the car from the back, the right hand side lamp has more wires/ connectors coming out of the back of it than the left hand one. Is there a junction box somewhere or do I just do my best to attach them to the wires that feed the right hand lamp.
ps anyone know of a web site with any such details - I did a search and nothing came up that I could find.
Regards
Jim

I've done a few in my time but not to a 306 I'm afraid. I've either drilled a hole or managed to locate a suitable through point for the cable; sometimes there's a rubber grommet at the lowest point of the boot floor ( a drain-hole perhaps?)- you'll need to look for yourself. For the electrical conections I usually use Scotch-locks (sp?) to the wiring closest to the through hole. (ps I usually 'forget' to fit the reversing buzzer :))

Thanks Normd2. They are called "Scotchlok" and are available at www.davico-industrial.ltd.uk/product.asp?id=7&ref=...6. In fact these are the strange things that are in the pack with the single electrics, but now I know what they are I am able to use them. Thanks again & regards
